I HAVE FINISHED THE SECOND YEAR OF AN ENGLISH LITERATURE COURSE!!! I AM CLEVERRRR! AHA! If you’d told me this 2 years there’s no way I’d believe it! I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone and how soon I will graduate and enter the big wide world! For now though, I’m going to relax and have a great summer! :) Bring on Brighton on Friday for my best friend’s birthday!! :D
In response to Soph Belcher… Your post is so true! I’d like to see these people attempt an English literature degree, because it’s fucking hard, and it’s a far more creditable degree than poxy dance degrees or retail degrees that may get you an ok job with an ok wage, but the stuff we have fed to us will enable us to have more intelligent conversations with people and learn far more about the world around us, whether that be in a historical, social or cultural context. Girl, we are the academics!! Stand up tall!! xxxxx
Another rant post i suppose…
I just want this exam to be over! Although this is probably my best module, I’m SICK of reading Jane Eyre and trying to cram as much film theory into my head as possible! I just want to SLEEP, and watch New Girl, see Barlie in Brighton, and go to Alice’s for drunky times in Chelmsford, and see Coldplay with my sister, and go to Barcelona and soak up some rays, and read a book I actually want to read!
I can’t wait for these things, but they will all come in good time. Better get back to it…
